Deepawali Joyously Celebrated
Pujas at Tonks and Deepawali Mela
Jai Jinendra,
The 2,545th nirvana kalyanak of Bhagwaan Mahavira Swami and kevalgyan of Shri Gautam Swami was celebrated with joy by all on Saturday, November 10 at Shri Siddhachalam Jain Tirth in Blairstown, New Jersey.
The events started with puja at the Tonk of Bhagwaan Mahavira Swami, followed by lighting of diyas and offering of nirvana laddus. The pujas at the Tonks were followed by aarti and mangal devo in the Main Temple.
Post pujas, Deepawali Mela which included games, art & craft, mehendi, cultural program, garba & dandiya and food stalls was held at Gautam Labdhi Bhandaar and Ahimsa Hall. This was the second year of Deepawali Mela at Siddhachalam. With the tremendous response we have received from the community, our volunteers are encouraged to make this as part of next year’s Annual Events Calendar.
