Jai Jinendra

Hope this finds you and yours well.

This is a reminder email that Dr. Michael Tobias , an honorary member of Siddhachalam, will screen and discuss his acclaimed film, Ahimsa, for the benefit of Siddhachalam yatris. He will also reminiscence his association with Guruji. There is no admission or participation fee but please try to come on time so all can enjoy the film.

"Ahimsa" explores the traditions of Jain dharma and practice. It is made with the sensitivity of a deep thinker and ardent believer. All will find this film uplifting and instructive. Parents would especially love the opportunity to share the film with children and have the opportunity to discuss it with a leading Ahimsa thinker and activist.

The film is of one hour duration.

Dr. Tobias, a practicing Jain and a vegan, is an extra-ordinarily gifted and learned person. He has authored more than 30 books and written, directed or produced over 100 films on environment, animal rights, religion, peace, science and cultural issues. His book on Jain Dharma - Life Force (which we will request him to sign for those interested) - and his film - Ahimsa - has had a profound influence on many of us.

Sun Energy

Siddhachalam is also delighted to announce a short lecture by and Q&A with Dr. Pradip Shah on how he obtains sun's energy to sustain long upvas even while continuing daily activities. Dr. Shah's introduction to his secret was very well-received during last month's yoga and health camp.

Please reach ashram early so we can all enjoy this event. We are requesting interested persons to please register name on our Website. This will greatly help us in planning for the event. Your involvement is much appreciated. Please also let us know if you wish to volunteer for the event.

Thank you and see you on Nov. 8 morning.
